The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) has released important guidelines ahead of the Bihar Board exams 2026. Students, parents, and officials have been informed that entry to exam centers will not be allowed after 9:00 AM for the morning shift and 1:30 PM for the afternoon shift.
Exam Schedule and Entry Rules
The BSEB Class 12 board exams will be conducted from 2nd February to 13th February 2026. Ahead of the exams, the board has emphasized strict adherence to timings and rules at exam centers. Students are instructed to arrive at their respective centers well in advance, as latecomers will not be permitted to enter or appear for the exam.
According to the official notice, entry to exam centers will start one hour before the exam and the main gate will close 30 minutes before the exam begins. Students are strongly advised to follow these instructions to avoid being barred from appearing in the exams.

To avoid overcrowding, the board recommends that students report one hour prior to the start of their exam:
- Morning shift: from 8:30 AM
- Afternoon shift: from 1:00 PM
10th Board Exams Scheduled Soon After
Immediately after the Class 12 exams, the Class 10 board exams will commence from 17th February to 25th February 2026. This year, BSEB has taken steps to modernize exam management. For the first time, students can access exam-related information through an AI-powered chatbot, which provides details such as roll numbers, exam centers, dates, and other essential instructions.
