
Bihar Police has announced a new recruitment drive for Constables in its Special Branch. Candidates who have passed 12th standard (Intermediate) are eligible to apply.

The Central Selection Board of Constable (CSBC) has issued the official notification for recruitment of Constables in the General Duty Closed Cadre of Bihar Police Special Branch. Online applications will open from 6 February 2026. Candidates must ensure that they have all the required documents before applying.

Eligibility Criteria:
- Educational Qualification: Minimum 10+2 or equivalent
- Age Limit:
- Unreserved candidates (male/female): 18–25 years
- OBC/EBC: +2 years relaxation
- SC/ST: +5 years relaxation
- Height:
- Unreserved/OBC males: 165 cm
- Extremely Backward Class (EBC) males: 160 cm
- SC/ST males: 160 cm
- Chest Measurement:
- Unreserved/OBC/EBC males: 81 cm (unexpanded), 86 cm (expanded)
- SC/ST males: 79 cm (unexpanded), 84 cm (expanded)
- Weight: Minimum 48 kg for female candidates
How to Apply:
Candidates must apply online via the CSBC official website csbc.bihar.gov.in.
- Go to the Bihar Police tab → Adverts by Group → click on Advertisement No. 01/2026.
- Complete the first part of registration with details such as name, nationality, mobile number, email ID, domicile, category, gender, and date of birth.
- Login using the registration number and password sent via email/SMS to complete the second part of the application.
- Fill in personal and educational details accurately, including father/husband’s name and address.
- Upload scanned copies of your photograph (recent, color, white background, 15–25 KB, jpg/jpeg/gif) and signature (black/blue ink, 15 KB each).
- Pay the application fee of ₹100.
- After submitting, download and save the final printout of the application for reference.
The online application window opens 6 February 2026, and candidates can apply until 5 March 2026.
