The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) is set to begin its 2026 board exams in February, and students must ramp up their preparation. For Class 10 students, subject-wise model papers released by the board can serve as a crucial guide. Here’s a detailed look at the Class 10 Mathematics exam pattern.
Exam Schedule:
The Bihar Board Class 10 exams will be conducted from February 17 to February 25, 2026, with the Mathematics paper scheduled for February 18, 2026. The exam will be 3 hours and 15 minutes long, with an additional 15 minutes allotted to read the question paper.
100+30+8 Question Pattern:
The Maths paper consists of 138 questions divided into three sections—100+30+8.
- Section A (100 Questions): Objective-type questions. Students must solve 50 questions, each carrying 1 mark. Answers are to be marked on the OMR sheet using a blue or black pen. Use of white-out, blades, or liquids is strictly prohibited. If more than 50 questions are attempted, only the first 50 correctly marked answers will be evaluated.
- Section B (30 Questions): Short-answer questions. Students must attempt 15 questions, each worth 2 marks.
- Section C (8 Questions): Long-answer questions. Students must answer 4 questions, each carrying 5 marks. Electronic devices are strictly prohibited in the exam hall.
