“No Road, No Vote”: Residents of Rajnagar Extension in Ghaziabad Protest Poor Infrastructure
Ghaziabad, UP – Residents of Rajnagar Extension in Ghaziabad have taken a bold stand against years of neglect, highlighting the deteriorating condition of roads in the area. Thousands of families, frustrated with inaction by authorities, have put up large banners across society gates declaring: “No facilities, no tax; no road, no vote.”
Societies including Nilaya Green, Sanchar Residency, and Meadow Vista, among others along Hum Tum Road, have joined the protest. Local resident Murarilal Sharma said, “The Ghaziabad Development Authority (GDA) developed Rajnagar Extension but then turned a blind eye to providing basic amenities. Builders sold flats by showing only a bright picture, forcing us to live a dramatic and challenging life.”
