Mathura School Headmaster Suspended Over Allegations of Forcing Students to Offer Namaz, Disrespecting National Anthem
A government primary school headmaster in Mathura district of Uttar Pradesh has been suspended following serious allegations of forcing students to offer namaz, discouraging the singing of the National Anthem, and making objectionable remarks about Hindu deities.
The accused headmaster, Jaan Mohammad, posted at a primary school in Nauhjheel block, has been placed under suspension after a preliminary inquiry found the allegations to be prima facie serious, officials said on Monday.
Allegations of Religious Coercion
