Kanpur: Two Doctors and Pathology Manager Duped of ₹5 Crore in Online Trading Scam

Kanpur:Cyber fraudsters in Uttar Pradesh’s Kanpur have cheated two doctors and a pathology manager of nearly ₹5 crore by luring them with promises of high returns through online trading. The scammers persuaded the victims to download a mobile cloning app, gaining full access to their phones and bank accounts. Police have registered a case and begun an investigation. Fake SEBI-Registered Advisor Targeted Victims According to one of the doctors from Azad Nagar, the fraud began on 3 September 2025, when he received a WhatsApp call from a man claiming to be a SEBI-registered stock market advisor.
