Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh: Doctors were forced to amputate the leg of history-sheeter Omprakash, alias Shaka, a wanted criminal with a ₹50,000 bounty, following complications from injuries sustained during a police encounter. Shaka was critically injured during a police shootout in Tapal area on the night of 3 December. He sustained gunshot wounds in both legs — near the thigh of his left leg and the knee of his right leg. The right leg, in particular, became severely damaged, leaving him incapacitated.
