Jhansi Police Destroy 44 Guns and 83 Daggers Stored for 27 Years, Over 20 Kg of Iron Recovered
Jhansi, Uttar Pradesh: The police in Jhansi have cleared out decades-old weapons from the evidence storage of Raksa Police Station. A total of 44 guns and 83 daggers, seized in murder, robbery, and assault cases, had been lying idle in the police store for nearly 27 years. These items were linked to cases that had long been resolved.
Due to space constraints in the police store, authorities sought court permission to dispose of the weapons. Once approval was granted, the police cut and destroyed the guns and daggers using industrial grinders, freeing up space in the storage facility.
