‘Magnet Gang’ of Women Busted in Gurgaon for Saree Thefts
Gurgaon, February 10, 2026: Gurgaon police have arrested two women in connection with a series of saree thefts at Meena Bazaar showroom in Central Mall. Authorities recovered two stolen sarees, ₹3,000 in cash, and a magnet allegedly used to remove security tags from the stolen merchandise. The investigation is ongoing.
How the Theft Was Carried OutAccording to police, the accused women used magnets to remove the security tags from sarees, preventing alarms from sounding at the exit gates. The method allowed them to steal items without detection. The theft came to light after a showroom employee lodged a complaint at DLF Sector-29 Police Station on September 15, with a formal case registered on September 19.
