Gurugram Police to Conduct Breathalyzer Tests at All Entry Toll Plazas
Gurugram, 1 Dec 2025: In a strong move to curb drunk driving and prevent road accidents, Gurugram Police have announced stringent checks at all major entry points to the city. Drivers entering Gurugram—whether private, commercial, or heavy vehicles—will now be screened using breath analyzers at toll plazas before entering the city.
The initiative covers all five major toll plazas, including Sarhaul, Khaiderkhedaula, Mehrauli, Ghamdaj, KMP, and Dwarka Expressway tolls. The directive, issued last week by DGP O.P. Singh, mandates that checks will be conducted four days a week, with each session lasting four hours. Both traffic police and local area police will be deployed to man the checkpoints.
