₹21 Crore Stamp Duty, ₹1.47 Crore Penalty: Trouble Mounts for Maharashtra Dy CM Ajit Pawar’s Son Parth Pawar
Pune: Parth Pawar, son of Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, has landed in serious legal trouble after the state’s Department of Registration and Stamps directed his firm, Amadeya Enterprises LLP, to pay ₹21 crore in stamp duty and an additional ₹1.47 crore as penalty. The case pertains to the sale of 40 acres of prime land in the upscale Mundhwa region of Pune.
The department has also imposed seven months’ interest on the outstanding amount. The firm has been granted 60 days to make the payment, failing which the penalty will continue to rise.
