Jharkhand News: Displaced Families from Jharia Coal Mines to Get Flats, but Sale Prohibited
DHANBAD: In a major relief for families displaced by the ongoing fire in Jharia coal mines, the central government will provide flats on lease in Belgarhia Township. Announcing the move, Union Coal and Mines Minister G. Kishan Reddy emphasized that while the flats will be available for multiple generations, they cannot be sold.
Flats for Jharia Displaced FamiliesThe flats in Belgarhia Township have been developed by the Jharia Rehabilitation and Development Authority (JRDA) as part of a rehabilitation program for families affected by mine fires and landslide-prone areas. Speaking at an event in the township, Minister Reddy clarified that these flats are intended for long-term residence and ownership will remain with the government, preventing any resale.
