Ink Replaced with Pens in Maharashtra Elections, Raj Thackeray Raises Allegations; Rohit Pawar Shares Video, Fadnavis Responds

Mumbai: A controversy has erupted in Maharashtra amid voting for 29 municipal corporations, including the Mumbai BMC elections, over the use of pens instead of traditional indelible ink on voters’ fingers. MNS chief Raj Thackeray raised concerns in Mumbai, alleging that the Election Commission replaced the standard voting ink with a new type of pen. “Complaints are emerging about this new pen. If a voter uses hand sanitizer, the ink disappears. The only option left is to apply the ink, step outside, wipe it off, and re-enter to vote again. This new practice reflects how the government is willing to adopt any method to retain power. Such manipulations cannot be called fair elections,” Thackeray said. He appealed to the public, MNS, and Matoshree Sena workers to remain vigilant. He also c...

A Missed Call Sparks SpeculationReports suggest that Tej Pratap Yadav tried to reach out to Chirag Paswan over the phone, but the call went unanswered. Chirag attributed this to his busy schedule, stating that it is not uncommon for him to miss calls due to work commitments. He, however, emphasized that there is no bitterness between him and Tej Pratap, referring to him warmly as his “younger brother” and extending Maka...

Despite bitter cold, the CM camped in open fields, personally experiencing the realities of rural life and monitoring the ground-level implementation of development schemes. Simplicity at the Forefront Nitish Kumar’s yatra was marked by uncompromising simplicity. His tent was modestly equipped with a cot, a mattress, two chairs, two small tables, and a wardrobe. He carried his own torch, radio, and wristwatch. The CM’s meals were plain vegetarian fare—rice, dal, roti, and green vegetables—prepared by a single cook. The aim was to remain connected to the villagers, whil...
