BJP Women MPs Write to Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, Seek Strict Action Against Opposition Members
New Delhi: The political confrontation between the ruling party and the opposition in the Lok Sabha continues to intensify, with the issue now taking a sharper turn. After women MPs from opposition parties wrote to Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla raising concerns over alleged defamation and violation of parliamentary rights, women Members of Parliament from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) have also sent a letter to the Speaker, demanding strict action against opposition MPs.
In their letter, BJP women MPs urged the Speaker to initiate action under parliamentary rules against opposition members who, according to them, indulged in “shameful acts” inside the House on February 4, 2026, thereby tarnishing the image of India’s democratic institutions.
