JNU Students’ Union Election 2025–26: Voting Underway to Decide Who Will Wear the Crown — ABVP vs Left in a High-Stakes Battle
New Delhi:
The prestigious Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) is witnessing a charged political atmosphere today as students cast their votes for the JNU Students’ Union (JNUSU) elections for the academic year 2025–26. Ballot boxes have opened, and voting will continue throughout the day to elect the new student representatives for key posts, including President, Vice President, General Secretary, and Joint Secretary.
Both major factions — the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) and the Left Alliance (comprising AISA, DSF, and SFI) — have fielded their candidates and are claiming confident victories. However, the final verdict will be known only on November 6, when the counting of votes takes place.
