New Delhi: YouTube has transformed countless lives, offering not just fame but substantial wealth. Among these success stories is 26-year-old Sourav Joshi from Uttarakhand, who now earns over ₹1 crore annually from his YouTube channel.
Humble Beginnings
Sourav was born into a typical middle-class family. His father, Harinder Joshi, worked as a carpenter and frequently moved across cities in search of stable employment. This meant Sourav had to change schools multiple times, with much of his schooling completed in Hisar, Haryana. After finishing 12th grade and facing early life challenges, he returned home and began sketching and drawing. Encouraged by his brother, he launched his YouTube channel in 2017.
Early Struggles on YouTube
Starting out was far from easy. Sourav experimented with multiple channel names before settling on “Sourav Joshi Vlogs.” Despite posting over 250 videos on art and sketches, his subscriber base stagnated at around 3,000–4,000. He persevered without losing hope, driven by his desire for recognition and financial independence.
The Turning Point
In 2019, a vlog featuring his entire family changed his fortunes. Indian audiences loved the simplicity of his videos, his relatable middle-class family content, and his genuine approach. During the global pandemic of 2020, he set himself an ambitious goal: to post a vlog every single day for 365 days. This decision dramatically accelerated his growth, and by 2021, Sourav became one of India’s fastest-growing family vloggers.
Recognition and Personal Life
Now recognized as one of India’s top daily-life vloggers, Sourav recently married Avantika. His content continues to resonate with millions, offering a glimpse into everyday middle-class family life in India.
Financial Success
Sourav lives a comfortable life, building a large home for his family and owning a collection of cars. Speaking about his earnings, he mentioned in an interview that his monthly income is enough to buy a Mahindra Thar Roxx, priced between ₹12.99 lakh and ₹23.39 lakh, indicating his annual income exceeds ₹1.5 crore. His success highlights the potential of digital platforms for creating wealth and achieving dreams beyond conventional careers.
