Sanpal has recently come into the spotlight again as Netflix released the trailer for its upcoming reality show, ‘Desi Bling’, which showcases the luxurious lifestyles of wealthy Indians living in Dubai. The show features celebrities like actors Karan Kundra and Tejaswi Prakash, along with business magnates such as Rizwan Sajan, founder of Danube Group, and Satish Sanpal himself. The trailer offers a glimpse into the high-profile Indian community in Dubai, highlighting their opulent homes, exotic cars, and extravagant lifestyles.
A Golden Gesture for His Wife
In the trailer, Sanpal reveals a personal side of his life. His wife, Tabinda Sanpal, appears on screen and shares that Satish loves buying gold. Every year, he gifts her 3 kilograms of gold.
With gold prices at ₹1,57,500 per 10 grams on the MCX as of Monday afternoon, one kilogram costs roughly ₹1.57 crore. This means Satish spends around ₹4.71 crore annually on gold for his wife, a figure that continues to rise as gold prices climb.
On Wealth and Values
Despite his immense fortune, Satish emphasizes that money is not God, but it is as powerful as God. In interviews, Tabinda has shared that their interfaith marriage—she is Muslim, he is Hindu—was initially met with resistance from their families. Over time, as Satish’s wealth and success grew, the families came to accept their union.
From Humble Beginnings
Satish’s rise is all the more remarkable given his modest education. He studied only until the 8th grade and started his first grocery business at the age of 15 with ₹50,000, which did not succeed. Fate then brought him to Dubai decades ago with just ₹80,000, where he built ANAX Holdings into a powerhouse. The group invests across sectors, including real estate, premium hospitality, resorts, and restaurants, making it one of Dubai’s most influential Indian-run conglomerates.
