India Showcases Its Global Tech Leaders at AI Impact Summit in Delhi

New Delhi, India: The five-day India AI Impact Summit has kicked off today at Bharat Mandapam, Delhi, bringing together leaders from top technology companies worldwide. The summit, running from 16–20 February, is expected to witness announcements of investments totaling $100 billion. Among the participants are several Indian-origin leaders who head international companies, proudly representing India on the global stage. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to meet the CEOs of 35–40 companies during the event.

Key Indian-Origin Leaders at the Summit:

  • Sundar Pichai, CEO, Google & Alphabet: Born in Chennai on 12 July 1972, Pichai studied at IIT Kharagpur before completing further education at Stanford University. He joined Google in 2004 and became CEO in 2015, taking over Alphabet’s leadership in 2019.
  • Jay Puri, Executive Vice President, Nvidia: Puri oversees global sales, business development, partner alliances, solutions architecture, and support services. He joined Nvidia in 2005 after 22 years at Sun Microsystems and holds degrees from University of Minnesota, Caltech, and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
  • Nikesh Arora, Chairman & CEO, Palo Alto Networks: A BSE in Electrical Engineering from IIT Varanasi and an MBA from Northeastern University, Arora started in finance with Fidelity Investments and T-Mobile, later joining Google as Chief Marketing Officer. He became CEO of Palo Alto Networks in 2018.
  • Shantanu Narayen, Chairman & CEO, Adobe: Narayen began his career at Apple and Pfizer. Born in Hyderabad in 1963, he holds degrees from Osmania University, UC Berkeley, and Bowling Green State University. He joined Adobe in 1998 as SVP and became CEO in 2005.
  • Jay Chaudhry, CEO & Founder, Zscaler: From a village in Himachal Pradesh, Chaudhry holds a BTech from IIT Varanasi, an executive program at Harvard, and multiple advanced degrees from University of Cincinnati. He founded SecureIT and later Zscaler, leading it in global cybersecurity.
  • Ravi Kumar S, CEO, Cognizant: An engineer from Shivaji University, Maharashtra, and MBA from Xavier Institute of Management, he previously served as President at Infosys (2016–2022) before joining Cognizant as CEO.
  • Bipul Sinha, CEO & Co-Founder, Rubrik: Sinha, a 2024-founded cybersecurity firm CEO, is an IIT Kharagpur alumnus and Wharton MBA, holding multiple patents in distributed computing.
  • Amit Javeri, President & COO, ServiceNow: Javeri joined ServiceNow in October 2024, leading operations at the cloud automation company. Previously, he held senior roles at Google and Oracle.
  • Aparna Bawa, COO, Zoom: Bawa earned a BSE from Marquette University and a JD from Harvard Law School. She became Zoom’s COO in 2020, serving as interim legal officer prior.

The India AI Impact Summit hosts over 40 major global tech companies and leaders from 20 countries, fostering collaboration and showcasing India’s growing influence in artificial intelligence and global technology leadership.
