DDA Flats Sell Out in a Day: Affordable Housing Scheme Creates Frenzy in Delhi

The Delhi Development Authority’s (DDA) Jan Sadharan Awas Yojana 2025 has emerged as a massive hit, with all 679 affordable flats booked on the very first day of the third phase of the scheme.

Details of the Scheme
The bookings for the third phase began on 15 January, covering flats in multiple locations:

  • Narela A-1 to A-4 blocks – 496 flats
  • Narela G-7/S – 130 flats
  • Rohini – 50 flats
  • Nasirpur – 3 flats

The flats were priced at ₹9.18 lakh with a 15% introductory discount, making them highly attractive for homebuyers.

According to DDA officials, the scheme is expected to generate approximately ₹86.81 crore in revenue. The overwhelming response reflects strong public confidence in the DDA’s affordable housing initiatives. Narela, in particular, has now emerged as a key residential hub in North Delhi, thanks to its expanding road networks, proximity to industrial areas, educational institutions, and other urban amenities.

Future Plans and Premium Housing
Encouraged by the response, DDA plans to launch more housing schemes catering to diverse public needs. Additionally, the authority has introduced a Premium Housing Scheme, which will operate entirely through online e-auctions.

This premium scheme includes 582 flats and parking spaces in Delhi’s posh localities. Targeted at buyers looking for ready-to-move-in homes rather than affordable housing, it will feature flats across High Income Group (HIG), Middle Income Group (MIG), Low Income Group (LIG), General, and Economically Weaker Section (EWS) categories, along with car and scooter garages. Prices will vary depending on location, size, and category.

The rapid booking of the Jan Sadharan Awas Yojana 2025 demonstrates the growing demand for affordable housing in Delhi and highlights DDA’s role in making homeownership accessible to a wider population.
