Ambani and Adani Commit Trillions to Gujarat, Eye Green Energy, Manufacturing, and Infrastructure

India’s industrial giants Mukesh Ambani and Gautam Adani have announced massive investments in Gujarat over the next few years, focusing on energy, manufacturing, technology, and infrastructure. The announcements were made at the Vibrant Gujarat Regional Conference for Saurashtra-Kutch held in Gandhinagar on Sunday, underlining Gujarat’s emergence as a major hub for green energy and industrial development.

Ambani’s ₹7 Lakh Crore Investment
Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani revealed that his company plans to invest ₹7 lakh crore in Gujarat over the next five years, doubling the investment made in the past five years. Ambani emphasized that this investment will create large-scale employment opportunities.

Among the five key announcements made by Ambani:

  • World’s Largest Integrated Green Energy Ecosystem in Jamnagar: This will include solar power, green hydrogen, and sustainable aviation fuel, positioning Jamnagar not just as an oil hub but also as a major green energy exporter.
  • Multi-Gigawatt Solar Project in Kutch to strengthen India’s energy security.
  • India’s Largest AI-Ready Data Center in Jamnagar, alongside a new AI intelligence platform by Jio, enabling citizens to access AI services in local languages.
  • Collaboration with Gujarat Government for Ahmedabad Olympics 2036 Vision and management of the Veer Savarkar Multi-Sports Complex in Naranpura.
  • World-Class Hospital and Expanded Educational Facilities in Jamnagar.

Adani’s ₹1.5 Lakh Crore Investment
Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone Managing Director Karan Adani announced that the Adani Group will invest ₹1.5 lakh crore in Mundra and Kutch over the next five years. He highlighted that Kutch has become India’s largest energy hub. The group is building the world’s largest 37-gigawatt energy park in Mundra, which will be fully operational by 2030. The group also plans to double Mundra’s port capacity over the next decade.

Other Major Investments

  • Jyoti CNC Chairman Parakramsingh Jadeja will invest ₹10,000 crore over five years in manufacturing, research & development, and skill development.
  • Welspun Group Chairman B.K. Goenka announced a ₹5,000 crore investment to set up the world’s largest pipeline manufacturing plant in Gujarat.

These announcements signal a transformative phase for Gujarat, strengthening its position as a hub for green energy, industrial manufacturing, technology, and infrastructure development.
