Raipur: A major security breach has come to light at Raipur Central Jail, raising serious questions about the facility’s protocols. A young woman reportedly managed to bring a mobile phone into the jail’s visitor area to meet her boyfriend and recorded a video during the visit, which she later posted on social media with the caption: “See his reaction.”
Incident During Birthday Visit
According to sources, the video shows the woman conversing with her boyfriend, identified as Tarkeshwar, who is currently serving time at Raipur Central Jail. The visit coincided with Tarkeshwar’s recent birthday, prompting the girlfriend to come and wish him. During the interaction, she recorded the conversation on her mobile phone, which was later shared online, creating a stir and drawing attention to lapses in jail security.
Mobile Phones Strictly Prohibited
Under jail regulations, visitors are strictly forbidden from carrying mobile phones into the facility. The incident raises serious questions about how the mobile phone was smuggled inside. If proper security checks were conducted prior to the visit, how did the phone get past them? Authorities are now examining whether this was a case of gross negligence on the part of jail staff.
Previous Security Concerns
This is not the first time Raipur Central Jail’s security has been questioned. In the past, mobile phones and other prohibited items have been found inside the jail premises, and videos filmed inside the facility have occasionally gone viral, drawing criticism of the administration’s operational procedures.
Jail Administration Response
Jail Superintendent Yogesh Singh Kshatri told the media that the administration became aware of the video through social media. He confirmed that an inquiry will be conducted to determine when and how the video was recorded, and strict action will be taken against those found responsible.
