Crime Branch Busts Family-Run Heroin Trafficking Syndicate in Delhi
New Delhi: The Anti-Narcotics Task Force of Delhi Police’s Crime Branch has successfully uncovered a major interstate drug trafficking syndicate. Three people, including a husband-wife duo and a receiver, have been arrested in connection with the operation. Authorities seized 1,504 grams of heroin, with an estimated international market value of approximately ₹7.5 crore.
The Concealment Tactic:Police revealed that the traffickers used an unusual method to avoid detection. Arif Khan (36) and his wife Shikha Ali (30) frequently traveled in a Wagon-R taxi, posing as an ordinary family to avoid suspicion. The couple transported consignments from Bareilly under the cover of night and distributed them across Delhi-NCR.
