Hathras: Delhi Police and Bank Employee Attacked by Villagers While Apprehending Fugitive
Hathras, UP: In a shocking incident in Hathras district, Uttar Pradesh, a Delhi Police constable and a bank employee were reportedly assaulted by villagers while attempting to apprehend a fugitive.
According to sources, Islam, a local man, had been declared a fugitive by Saket Court, Delhi, after allegedly defaulting on a loan of approximately ₹2 lakh from a bank in Delhi and absconding. In an effort to recover the dues, a team comprising Capital Bank employee Karan Singh and Delhi Police constable Devendra Kumar Singh visited Chandragarhi village under Chandaura police station in Hathras.
