Yamaha Recalls Over 3 Lakh RayZR and Fascino Hybrid Scooters in India Due to Brake Issue

India Yamaha Motor Private Limited (IYM) has announced a voluntary recall of more than 3 lakh units of its popular 125cc hybrid scooters, RayZR 125 Fi Hybrid and Fascino 125 Fi Hybrid, sold in the Indian market. The affected scooters were manufactured between 2 May 2024 and 3 September 2025.

The recall comes as part of the company’s commitment to customer safety and high-quality products. According to Yamaha, under certain conditions, a functional issue has been identified in the front brake caliper of some scooters, which could affect braking performance.

A total of 3,06,635 scooters are part of this voluntary recall. Yamaha has assured that all necessary parts will be replaced free of cost at any authorized Yamaha showroom or service center across India. The company has urged customers to have their scooters inspected and rectified as soon as possible.

Yamaha has made it easy for owners to check if their scooter is affected. Customers can visit the official Yamaha India website, navigate to the ‘Service’ section, and click on ‘Voluntary Recall Campaign’. After selecting the ‘Scooter 125’ category, they can enter their scooter’s chassis number to see if it is part of the recall and access further instructions.
