Czech automobile manufacturer Skoda Auto has unveiled an aggressive product strategy for the Indian market in 2026, confirming the launch of four new and updated models across different segments. From a refreshed compact SUV to performance-oriented RS models, Skoda aims to strengthen both its mass-market and enthusiast appeal between March and December 2026.
The upcoming line-up includes the Kushaq Facelift, the powerful Kodiaq RS, the sporty Kylaq Sportline+, and the much-awaited Octavia RS, a name that enjoys cult status among Indian car enthusiasts.
1. Skoda Kushaq Facelift
Skoda has already revealed the updated Kushaq facelift, with prices expected to be announced in March 2026. The model receives significant upgrades in design, features, and technology.
Design updates include new front and rear bumpers, a redesigned grille, fresh 17-inch alloy wheels, and updated LED headlamps. At the rear, the SUV now gets connected LED tail lamps with a light bar, lending it a more premium appearance.
On the inside, Skoda has raised the bar by introducing segment-first rear-seat massage functionality, along with a panoramic sunroof, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, and a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system. Safety has also been enhanced, with six airbags now standard across all variants.
Under the hood, the Kushaq continues with the 1.0-litre and 1.5-litre petrol engines, now paired with the option of a new 8-speed automatic gearbox.
2. Skoda Kodiaq RS
Aimed squarely at performance enthusiasts, the Kodiaq RS is expected to arrive between April and June 2026.
Powering the SUV is a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine producing 261 bhp, enabling it to sprint from 0 to 100 kmph in just 6.3 seconds. The RS variant also stands out visually with red exterior accents, glossy black elements, and a sport-focused cabin featuring red stitching and sporty pedals, giving it a distinct motorsport-inspired character.
3. Skoda Kylaq Sportline+
The Kylaq Sportline+ will be a sportier version of Skoda’s compact SUV, expected to launch between July and September 2026.
While it will retain the existing 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine, the Sportline+ variant will feature noticeable cosmetic upgrades both inside and out. These changes are aimed at giving the SUV a more aggressive, premium, and dynamic road presence, appealing to younger buyers.
4. Skoda Octavia RS
The Octavia RS remains one of the most sought-after performance sedans in India. In 2025, its limited batch of 100 units sold out within minutes, highlighting the strong demand.
Capitalising on this enthusiasm, Skoda plans to introduce a new batch of the Octavia RS towards the end of 2026 (October–December). While exact specifications are yet to be announced, expectations remain high for its blend of performance, practicality, and driving pleasure.
Outlook for 2026
With this diverse product pipeline, Skoda is positioning itself as a brand that caters to both mainstream buyers and driving purists. From feature-rich SUVs to high-performance RS models, 2026 could prove to be a crucial year for the company’s growth and brand reinforcement in India.
