Nissan Set to Launch New 7-Seater Gravite in India with Turbo Engine and Five Stylish Colours

New Delhi: Nissan is preparing to strengthen its presence in the Indian market with the upcoming launch of its new 7-seater MPV, the Nissan Gravite. Designed to cater to family buyers, the Gravite will offer flexible seating, modern styling and efficient petrol engine options, positioning it as an affordable yet feature-rich people mover.

The company recently released a teaser revealing the colour options and design elements of the Gravite, generating strong interest ahead of its expected market debut.

Stylish Design and Attractive Colour Options

The Nissan Gravite will be available in five eye-catching colours:

  • Signature Teal
  • White
  • Silver
  • Black
  • Grey

Although based on the Renault Triber platform, the Gravite will feature a distinct Nissan identity. At the front, it gets sleek LED daytime running lights, slim headlamps and a chrome-accented grille, while the bonnet prominently displays the “Gravite” badge in bold lettering.

At the rear, the vehicle features LED tail-lamps connected by a light bar, enhancing its premium appeal. A roof-mounted spoiler adds a sporty touch to the overall design.

Engine and Performance Options

The Nissan Gravite will be powered by a 1.0-litre petrol engine, offered in two configurations:

  • A naturally aspirated petrol engine for everyday city driving
  • A turbocharged petrol engine for buyers seeking enhanced power and performance

Both manual and automatic transmission options are expected to be available, offering greater convenience and choice to customers.

Spacious Cabin and Practical Features

Built as a true 7-seater, the Gravite will feature three rows of seating, making it suitable for large families. The seats are expected to be flexible and configurable, allowing them to be folded or removed to increase luggage space when required.

Key features likely to be offered include:

  • Touchscreen infotainment system
  • Digital driver display
  • Steering-mounted controls
  • Practical storage solutions for everyday use

Launch Timeline and Expected Pricing

The Nissan Gravite is expected to be priced competitively, similar to the Renault Triber, making it accessible to middle-class Indian families. Deliveries are likely to begin by March 2026.

Nissan’s Bigger Strategy for India

The Gravite is part of Nissan’s broader India growth plan. The company has confirmed that it will introduce three new models in the country:

  • Nissan Gravite (7-seater MPV)
  • Nissan Tekton, a 5-seater SUV scheduled to debut on February 4
  • A new 7-seater SUV, expected by 2027

All upcoming models will be manufactured at Nissan’s Chennai facility, which will also serve as an export hub for global markets.

Conclusion

With its modern styling, practical 7-seat layout, turbo petrol option and competitive pricing, the Nissan Gravite aims to make a strong impact in India’s MPV segment. The launch marks another important step in Nissan’s renewed commitment to the Indian automobile market.
