Dzire Outshines Swift as Brezza and Baleno Lose Ground: Maruti Suzuki Sales Report for November 2025

Maruti Suzuki has released its sales performance report for November 2025, registering a strong year-on-year growth of 21%. The company sold a total of 1,70,971 vehicles during the month, compared to 1,41,312 units in November 2024. While the Dzire continued its dominance as the brand’s top-selling model, some popular SUVs and premium hatchbacks like the Brezza and Baleno witnessed a decline in demand.

Dzire, Swift and Ertiga Lead the Chart

The Maruti Dzire once again emerged as the highest-selling car in the company’s portfolio. The compact sedan recorded sales of 21,082 units, marking an impressive 79% growth over last year’s figure of 11,779 units.

The Maruti Swift secured the second position with 19,733 units sold, registering a healthy 34% year-on-year growth. Meanwhile, the popular MPV Ertiga stood third with 16,197 units, showing a modest 7% increase compared to November 2024.

Mixed Performance in SUVs and Premium Hatchbacks

Among compact SUVs, the Maruti Fronx delivered a stable performance with 15,058 units sold, marginally up by 1% year-on-year. The Wagon R, which continues to be a strong performer in the hatchback segment, recorded sales of 14,619 units, reflecting a 5% growth.

However, the Maruti Brezza saw a 7% decline, with sales dropping to 13,947 units, compared to 14,918 units last year.

Baleno Slips, Eeco and New Models Gain Momentum

The premium hatchback Baleno faced a significant setback, with sales declining by 15% to 13,784 units. In contrast, the Eeco van posted an impressive 25% growth, with sales rising from 10,589 units to 13,200 units.

Maruti Suzuki’s recently launched Victoris received a positive market response, clocking 12,300 units in November. The Grand Vitara also performed well, registering 11,339 units, up 12% from last year.

Entry-Level Cars: Alto Shines, Others Struggle

In the entry-level segment, the Maruti Alto delivered a strong performance with 10,600 units sold, reflecting a remarkable 42% growth. On the other hand, the XL6 witnessed a slight 2% decline, selling 2,445 units.

The Ignis showed moderate improvement with 2,316 units, up 5%, while the S-Presso suffered a sharp 23% drop, with sales falling to 1,747 units.

Lowest Sellers: Celerio, Jimny and Invicto

The Celerio experienced the steepest fall, with sales plunging by 41% to 1,392 units. The lifestyle SUV Jimny remained among the least-selling models with 802 units, down 19% year-on-year. The premium MPV Invicto recorded sales of just 410 units, reflecting a 6% decline.

Overall Outlook

Maruti Suzuki’s November 2025 sales figures underline the continued strength of its compact sedan and hatchback lineup, led by the Dzire and Swift. However, declining numbers for models like the Brezza, Baleno and S-Presso indicate shifting consumer preferences and increasing competition in the SUV and premium hatchback segments.
