Bajaj Pulsar Turns 25: Classic Pulsar to Get a Modern Makeover in 2026

For Bajaj Pulsar enthusiasts, 2026 is set to be a landmark year. The iconic Classic Pulsar is all set to receive a major modern update, fulfilling long-standing expectations. Bajaj Auto is preparing to revamp its Classic Pulsar range, including the Pulsar 125 and Pulsar 150, to celebrate its 25th anniversary.

A Milestone Year
The Pulsar was first launched in 2001, and by 2026 it will complete 25 years on Indian roads. According to Bajaj Auto MD Rajiv Bajaj, 2026 will be celebrated as ‘Pulsar Year’, with significant upgrades planned for the most popular and best-selling bikes in the company’s lineup. Known for its appeal among youngsters, the Classic Pulsar remains one of Bajaj’s most iconic motorcycles.

What’s New in the 2026 Pulsar?
The upcoming Pulsar models are expected to feature several modern upgrades:

  • Monoshock Suspension: The current dual rear shock setup will be replaced with a modern monoshock system, similar to the Pulsar N series, enhancing handling and ride quality.
  • New Chassis: The older double-cradle frame will be replaced by a lightweight, modern chassis for improved stability.
  • Engine Tweaks: While the 125cc and 150cc engines will retain their displacement, they are expected to be re-tuned for smoother performance to match the new chassis.

Classic Look with Modern Tech
The iconic Wolf Eye headlight will celebrate 20 years in 2026, retaining its signature appeal. The muscular and macho design of the Pulsar will remain unchanged, but the new models will incorporate LED lighting, fully digital displays, and Bluetooth connectivity. Additionally, the classic large fuel tank design is expected to return.

Launch and Price
The new-generation Classic Pulsar is expected to launch around August 2026, coinciding with the festive season. The ex-showroom price is likely to be ₹80,000–90,000 for Pulsar 125 and ₹1.05–1.15 lakh for Pulsar 150.

With these updates, Bajaj aims to combine heritage design with modern technology, ensuring the Classic Pulsar continues to capture the hearts of motorcycle enthusiasts across India.
