Denmark: A Danish company, Awake Boards, has unveiled a revolutionary electric vehicle that looks like a motorcycle but glides above water instead of roads. Named Awake Navi, the futuristic vehicle was launched at Germany’s prominent Boot Düsseldorf show and is already capturing global attention for its unique design and technology.

Hydrofoil Technology Makes It “Fly”

The standout feature of Awake Navi is its hydrofoil system. When the vehicle reaches a certain speed, specially designed foils lift it above the water surface. This reduces drag, smoothens the ride, and allows the vehicle to glide above waves with minimal disruption. The sensation is akin to floating above the water rather than riding through it, providing a remarkably smooth and almost “airborne” experience.

Riding Experience Like a Motorcycle

Awake Navi is designed for riders to sit and drive as they would on a motorcycle. Controlling the speed is simple via a throttle on the handlebar, and a reverse gear makes maneuvering easier. Safety features include a kill switch, and a small onboard screen displays navigation and battery status. Anyone familiar with riding a bike can quickly adapt to this waterborne electric vehicle.

Battery Life and Performance

Awake Navi is fully electric. With the XR4 battery, it offers up to 3 hours of ride time on a full charge, while the LR4 battery provides around 1.5 hours. Without a traditional engine, the vehicle runs quietly with minimal vibration, offering a serene experience on the water.

Lightweight Yet Strong

Constructed from carbon composite, the Awake Navi is both lightweight and highly durable. Its foldable hydrofoil wings allow operation in shallower waters and make transportation easier.

Single or Double Ride

The vehicle can accommodate one or two passengers, thanks to optional float tubes that provide extra stability for two riders. Maximum carrying capacity is 250 kilograms, and removing the tubes enhances speed and agility for solo riders.
