Pradosh Vrat Puja Vidhi (Worship Method)
- Devotees should wake up early in the morning, take a holy bath, wear clean clothes, and take a vow to observe the Pradosh fast.
- Place a clean cloth on a wooden platform in the prayer area and install idols or images of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati. Also place an image or idol of Lord Ganesha.
- Sprinkle Gangajal to purify the worship area.
- Perform Shivling Abhishek either at home or at a nearby Shiva temple using milk, curd, honey, and holy water. Offer Bel leaves to Lord Shiva during the ritual.
- Offer flowers, incense, lamps, sandalwood paste, rice grains, and food offerings to Lord Shiva. Goddess Parvati should be offered items of adornment.
- During the Pradosh Kaal in the evening, pour water on the Shivling and chant “Om Namah Shivaya” or the Mahamrityunjaya Mantra with devotion.
- Conclude the puja by performing Aarti of Lord Shiva, Goddess Parvati, and Lord Ganesha, followed by offering bhog.
