Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath inaugurated the two-day AI Health Summit in Lucknow on Monday, emphasizing the state’s improved law and order situation. He stated that there is no curfew or communal unrest in Uttar Pradesh, asserting that the state is now stable and prosperous.
Law and Order and Tourism
Speaking at the summit organized by the Health and IT Departments, CM Yogi said:
“Today, Uttar Pradesh has no curfew, no riots, and overall peace prevails. People are happy, investments are increasing, and tourism is growing. Everyone is engaged in work and business, contributing to the state’s development.”
He highlighted the Mahakumbh 2025, which saw participation of over 66 crore pilgrims from India and abroad, boosting local tourism and creating new employment opportunities for guides, taxi drivers, and hospitality workers.
Focus on AI in Healthcare
The CM stressed the role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in transforming healthcare. AI tools can now help predict disease patterns and prevent the spread of epidemics before they occur, serving as a “game changer” for the state’s healthcare system. He highlighted how Uttar Pradesh has made remarkable progress in leveraging technology across sectors over the past eight years.
CM Yogi cited the example of encephalitis control in Eastern UP, where intensive surveillance and data-driven strategies have reduced child fatalities to zero, compared to thousands annually in the past. He stated that AI will make these measures even more effective.
AI and Infrastructure Development
The state plans to establish seven Centers of Excellence and develop Lucknow as an AI city. A robust data center ecosystem will be created, with an investment of approximately ₹3,000 crore in AI missions.
In addition, the CM outlined improvements in healthcare infrastructure: telemedicine services have expanded, maternal and child mortality rates have declined, and 81 medical colleges and two AIIMS are operational. During the COVID period, virtual ICUs were introduced, and ICU beds were increased across all 75 districts, bringing UP’s health index close to the national average.
He also mentioned ongoing projects such as Medical Device Parks, Pharma Parks, MedTech Centers of Excellence at SGPGI Lucknow, and an AI & Innovation Driven Entrepreneurship Center of Excellence in Gautam Buddha Nagar, underscoring UP’s emergence as a model for technology-driven development.
